Reasons why PC's are better than Mac's:
1. Cost less = more bang for your buck
2. More software and freeware for Windows and 100% FREE software if you run Linux
3. Mac only has 1 mouse button...seriously I never understood why. Drives me insane.
4. You are limited to a single hardware vendor, so prices are high and products are allowed to be inferior because THERE IS NO OTHER CHOICE!
5. PC's have many different operating systems to chose from (XP, Vista, and over 10 Linux OS's that are all free.)
6. More software for PC...plain and simple.
7. Repairs. Good luck taking apart your iMac, Mac Pro, or Mac Mini for any service needs/hardware changes or installations. For every Apple store, there are probably 10 that can work on PC's.
8. Wanna install a new hard drive, video card, more memory, dvd burner on your Mac? Good luck.
*and don't you dare say you don't need to upgrade...if you didn't, why don't you still have the Apple II? Are you seriously saying that a Mac from say 4 years ago can even attempt to run the newest software? Laughable.
9.Gaming is almost non-existent on Macs.
10. "But my Mac doesn't get viruses! It is so much more secure than a PC!"
Mac has a 2% market share....2% compared to 98% of PC market share. If you were a virus programmer, why waste you time with Mac? Macs are becoming increasingly popular and I wouldn't be surprised in the least to see Mac viruses soon.
*side note...you have to be pretty stupid to get a virus on your computer. Don't be an idiot and you will remain virus/spyware/adware/malware free.*
11. Build your own PC for half the cost of a Mac but double the speed and power. Its really not hard folks. Buy the parts wholesale and put it together yourself. Or take it somewhere to have someone help you. I guarantee you know somebody that can help you do this.
12. iPod, iMac, iWork, iLife, iTunes, iPhoto, iDvd, iWeb, iWantToKillMyself
So annoying.
13. A PC can do anything a Mac can do. "But you can't run GarageBand!"
well, there are over 10 programs for PC that do the EXACT SAME THING. So it doesn't really matter. Also if you really wanted to run GarageBand you can just install OS X on your PC (which nobody would want to do).
"But Mac's can run Windows and Linux too!"
Great, then you just wasted that $2,500 on a Mac case that runs Windows. Why not just get a PC then?
I'm not bashing you if you genuinely like Macintosh better because of the OS and the look, thats fine and thats your opinion. This if for the Mac elitists that think Mac is this perfect machine that is far superior to a PC.

Wow you sure do know a lot about computers here Kiesow. You have totally changed my mind about macs, and you made some great points on why PC are so much better. Thank you for making me realize that Macs truly suck!
You summed it up. For some reason a majority of my buddies went to mac, not my concern, it only bugs me when they defend it like a religion or something. At least it is fun to show them all the eye candy they could have had for less money.
Sorry, but I can't help but make some corrections and additional arguments:
1: The MightyMouse actually has 2 buttons like a PC, they just look like 1, plus two buttons on the sides.
2: Your arguments 1, 4, and 11 are essentially the same (cost), as are 2 and 6 (software)
3: There are many more than 10 Linux OSs out there. There are thousands of distributions.
4: There are multiple programs out there which allow Mac users to run Windows and Linux programs and games (such as Parallels Desktop or Darwine)
5: A person who knows how to follow instructions and use the Internet can install Mac OS X on a PC.
anonymous... haha why are you so afraid of showing the face? hahah..
1. the mightmouse sucks. period. the reviews in applestore say so!
2. so what?
3. so what?
4. so what? - they still run at half the performance as the real deal. games have always sucked on macs. not being able to upgrade video cards is juts plain stupid, and lazy from all parts of the problem (apple & video card makers).
5. this is just stupid. installing os x on a pc involves very delicate operations, like messing with bios settings, and whats worse, messing with hard drive settings. if you want to risk your stuff & work, then go ahead, try it, but it's not as easy as 1,2,3 as you intend to make it look like.
